Carved from pure gold and brought to life with notorious magic, Nostradamus sits as the final guard of The Archprophet's Vault. Kill him and all the treasure is yours. That is, until the Archprophet summons him once more, and the ancient force is thrown over the vault again. Nostradamus is but an obstacle. A powerful one, but overcomable. We have killed He Who Laughs In The Tower many times before. Why should this battle be any different?

Overview

Nostradamus is an Event Boss that spawns as the final boss of The Archprophet's Vault game mode. He is the arcane guardian with no heart and soul. A golem constructed entirely of gold and brought to life with the sins of the world, Nostradamus fights all who oppose his constructor, no questions asked. And that means anyone who dare enter the Vault than the Archprophet himself...

To access Nostradamus, you must collect the five keys scattered around the vault. One of the keys will always be guarded by The Keeper, a lower guardian of the vault.

Design

Nostradamus has a body shape akin to the Polygon Mother, but much larger. The head is a giant golden circle, with flashing and pulsing white eyes, that have wisps that curl upward. His 'pupils' are tall fuzzy rectangles that go from the top to bottom of his eyes. Steel-like horns curl toward the skies from the sides of his head. For arms, Nostradamus has conjoined congregations of various shapes, all golden and shining, with white outlines. Instead of Alpha Pentagons, Nostradamus has giant golden squares for hands, with white symbols embedded within them. These squares have five sections of two barrels that bend in the form of fingers. Nostradamus has the traditional dragon symbol attributed to most Sons of Panzer on his forehead. Has a giant spiky underbite as well, that comes off of the bottom of the head. (Artists, wait for me to release a sketch for you to base off of).

Arena

The arena you battle with Nostradamus in is always entered from the bottom, and decorated with white stone brick textures instead of a bland gray maze wall. These walls have golden outlines. The gate is a giant dark gray door with a skull symbol on it that has a keyhole in the open mouth.

The Arena is gigantic, a third the size of a regular FFA server. This just puts into perspective the sheer size of The Archprophet's Vault. In the middle is what appears to be a giant elevated gray platform, with a thinner larger one surrounding it to represent a step. On the platform sits a sleeping Nostradamus, eyes closed. All players have two minutes to get into the battle area before the door closes and they are disconnected. Then the battle begins...

Attacks and Abilities

Phase 1

During Phase 1, Nostradamus sits in the center. He raises his colossal arms, and golden portals appear, spilling golden Tankit into the room, quickly amassing into piles. Walking over this Tankit will actually Slow for as long as you're in contact, but does not give Score like all other times in the vault. From the start to the end of the battle, this Tankit will slowly fill the entire floor, making you Slowed the whole fight. This takes about ten minutes though. After that, the portals close. After the portals spawn, he gets moving and starts selecting randomly from attacks below.

  • Stomp: Will select one of his hands, curl his barrel fingers into a fist, and slam that fist downward, resulting in a solid ring of golden bullets firing a short range outward. These bullets do massive damage, inflict Broken, Paralyzed, and Stunned for 3 seconds.
  • Galaxy: Will summon four white Smashers with golden hexagons. They will rotate around him a short distance while releasing white bullets in all eight directions every second. They then begin spiraling outward before rotating back in close and disappearing. Happens two to three times in quick succession.
  • Paramount: Will go Armored for 10 seconds randomly. Passive effect. Once one Armored effect ends, another Paramount ability cannot be used for another 15 seconds.
  • Brimstone Storm: Will raise one of his hands, curling his fingers as a giant glowing yellow ball forms in them. This ball will be released as a shotgun of twenty Annihilator bullets that are so filled with flasy effects and golden embers you can't even tell they're bullets.
  • Overcast: Will raise both of his arms fingers outstretched, before dropping them both down at his sides. Tankit will begin raining down from the top of the arena, Stunning players they hit for 3 seconds. Tankit from the portals will also flood the room thrice as fast. Lasts 10 seconds.
  • Hurricane Force: Will spin both of his arms around rapidly like a tornado for 12 seconds, releasing bullets rapidly in random directions. They first emerge from the golden twister body slowly, before firing outward delayed a bit, picking up speed and growing in size as they travel. Nostradamus has the Broken debuff during this attack, though.

Phase 2

Once Nostradamus dips below 174,000 health, he will enter his next phase. The portals spilling Tankit into the room will slow to 66% speed, but Nostradamus himself gets a lot stronger. Consumed in a golden flaming aura, he has a large array of new attacks, and stronger variants of attacks from older phases.

  • Crush: Will curl both hands into a fist, before having then flash yellow. Two seconds later, he will punch both of them downward, releasing three solid golden bullet shockwaves that inflict Slowed, Broken, and Stunned. Travels twice as far as Stomp's bullets did.
  • Supernova: Galaxy but now there is eight Smashers evenly spaced around him rotating and spiraling out. Also, a ring of sixteen evenly spaced tiny golden Octo Tanks have been launched 50 tiles out, and their bullets travel far. This makes it hard for people to just stand back and wait.
  • Simple Sight: Both of his eye's pupils will follow a player, before releasing white particles that progressively grow over time. Three seconds after it begins charging, two giant white sweeping lasers will be fired and arc 85 degrees.
  • Atomic Smash: Will begin writhing his fingers above a player, before snatching them up! He will then break them in two using his other hand. This releases a CRAP TON of bullets in an indescribable bullet hell that lasts 12 seconds. Run away! The player that was broken in two respawns with no lost levels or score a few seconds later.
  • Animate: Will take some of the Tankit off the ground, and cluster them together into one of three kinds of minions he can spawn. This removes some of the Tankit that slows from the battlefield. When taking clumps of Tankit, they will be lifted near him and have a pulsing white effect around them before being turned into a golden minion.
    • Vault Blocker: Square shaped golden minion about the size of a Level 15 tank. Each side has a Protector shield on it, and an there is an Auto Turret on top. Its bullets inflict Weakened.
    • Vault Swarmer: Triangle shaped golden minion that begins pretty large, but as it takes damage, breaks down into a swarm of tiny, fast, Crasher-like enemies.
    • Vault Knight: Pentagon shaped golden minion about the size of a Level 15 tank. Has a white outline and alternating Lances and barrels. Will occasionally charge players with a lance side, or rotate and fire bullets.
  • Showdown: His eyes will flash red once, before releasing two streams of Destroyer bullets in opposite directions that will rotate clockwise slowly and change direction without warning.

Phase 3

Phase 3 begins at 75,000 health. His right arm will break off, releasing a swarm of 30 of each Vault minion listed above under Animate, before the arm vanishes in a white flash entirely. Following this, his left hand's fingers will get lancer tips, and generally get a lot more armored looking. It will also grow in size a bit. A helmet forms around his head similar to that of The Tres Geminos, the same dragon symbol on it. He will select from attacks below accordingly, but move around a lot quicker and is generally more aggressive than manipulative, like he was earlier in the fight.

  • Swipe: Will raise his wicked-looking left arm, and swipe it in an arc below him or to the left of him.
  • Animate Deux: The glowing and golden bleeding place where his right arm once was will release three to five random Vault minions every few seconds. Will also occasionally use regular Animate.
  • Stonehenge: A giant sword similar to Royale's will form in his left hand, and he will stab it in a direction, lunging his entire massive body in that direction while releasing bullets that inflict Burning behind him.
  • Warhand: Will raise his arm and a giant red glowing ball will appear before vanishing. After it disappears, Traps will begin dotting the room quickly, and explode into rings of bullets a few seconds later.
  • Vaporization: His eyes will glow a fiery angry gold-red, and will just begin firing uncountable amounts of bullets of different sizes and different speeds in entirely random directions. Good luck dodging them all.
  • Stomp Deux: Will curl his barrel fingers into a fist, and slam that fist downward, resulting in a solid ring of golden bullets firing a short range outward. These bullets do massive damage, inflict Broken, Paralyzed, and Stunned for 3 seconds. However, these shockwaves have the distance of Crush.
  • Galaxy: Will summon four white Smashers with golden hexagons. They will rotate around him a short distance while releasing white bullets in all eight directions every second. They then begin spiraling outward before rotating back in close and disappearing. Happens two to three times in quick succession.
  • Paramount Deux: Will go Invincible for 7 seconds randomly. Passive effect. Once one Invincible effect ends, another Paramount ability cannot be used for another 15 seconds.
  • Simple Sight: Both of his eye's pupils will follow a player, before releasing white particles that progressively grow over time. Three seconds after it begins charging, two giant white sweeping lasers will be fired and arc 85 degrees.

Phase 4

Entered at 20,000 health, Nostradamus is on the ropes now! With the loss of his other hand, every defensive system in his arcane arsenal is engaged. His body becomes almost solid golden metal, his white eyes peering though a thick later of cosmic metal. He will constantly pour out four to seven Vault minions from both of his lost arms every second or two. Nostradamus attacks no longer, instead alternating between 10 seconds of Armored, and 10 seconds of Invincible. Just outlast his swarm and damage him when you can to finish this battle! Upon reaching zero health, his body goes gray and his eyes burn out. Get close to collect your rewards!

Rewards

  • Upon destruction of Nostradamus, your player gets a golden aura around themselves for the next three days you access Diep.io servers.
  • Every player who did at least 3000 damage has a 50% chance to get 5 Panzer Tokens.

Wait... what...?

PHASE 5!

BGM: https://youtu.be/ag1ayovdaxc?t=51s

Nostradamus is NOT dead! It was a fakeout! Like a golden phoenix, Nostradamus has resurrected for a final strike! Both of his arms have returned, but not attached! They float connected to his back, flapping like translucent wings above him, keeping the demon golem skybound! He has a solid 23,000 more health and flies rapidly around the room like an absolute madman. Worst of all, the arena chamber is collapsing and you only have eleven minutes to end this! The screen flashes red with alarms as Nostradamus plans to take this... to... the very... END.

  • Swipe Deux: Will raise both of his arms and swipe them both downward in an arc simultaneously.
  • Animate Deux: The glowing and golden bleeding place where his arms once were will release three to five random Vault minions every few seconds. Will also occasionally use regular Animate.
  • Warhand: Will raise one of his arms and a giant red glowing ball will appear before vanishing. After it disappears, Traps will begin dotting the room quickly, and explode into rings of bullets a few seconds later.

  • Simple Sight Deux: Both of his eye's pupils will follow a player, before releasing white particles that progressively grow over time. Three seconds after it begins charging, two giant white sweeping lasers will be fired and arc 90 degrees, however this time they will travel opposite directions, then sweep back and forth twice more.

Trivia

  • When a fight gets even more complex than the Archprophet, you know its special...
  • Surprise Phase 5 was a last minute addition. I almost planned the fight to end like Draconis Rex did, with a helpless minion phase.
  • Also probably the most complicated boss design I have ever conceived.
  • Nostradamus is actually a prophet from the 16th century, and many believe his predictions are coming true in the form of modern day events...
